Integrated with the Landscape

This is a proposal for a new building to house a private collection of 15 cars.

The main concept is to semi-submerge the building into the landscape so that it is not visible from the main house by taking advantage of a level change at the edge of the formal gardens. The roof is grassed over with only subtle skylights indicating the presence of a building underneath.

The building opens out to a heavily screened wooded area with a glazed façade and sliding screens to allow entry and exit of the cars and internal shutters will close off the façade for security and privacy.

Inside will be a bar/entertaining area, wash bay and a small office.
